    Features GOKO's precise optical system

    A fine optical system is essential to achieve good clarity and better image quality. GOKO has a proud history of more than 60 years as a Japanese manufacturer of optical finished products, and we place great emphasis on developing a fine optical system, not only on increasing number of pixels. Our own fine optical system realizes greater clarity and better quality.

    EV-1D is the digital version of EV-1 (NTSC Version) that features a USB-output high-resolution digital camera unit. It is mounted on a strong and stable working stage, the same as that of EV-1 (NTSC version).

    EV-1D is best suited for clicking digital pictures not only for visual inspection but also for use as documentary evidence, or in reports. It has a good reputation, especially amongst quality control departments (e.g., checks of defective parts), food inspectors (e.g., contaminant inspection), and the like, who use it to document their findings.

    Unlike previous microscopes, the camera unit of EV-1D enables to provide long working distance, which provides large vertical working space. This feature is ideal for inspection by letting the object move, process, or rework.

    The camera unit of EV-1D can be moved vertically; thus, it can inspect an object whose height is up to 45 mm.

    • For greater depth of field, EV-1 (NTSC Version) is more appropriate. EV-1D focuses on the clearness of the images by a featuring high-resolution camera rather than the depth of field (although EV-1D also has a great depth of field).
    • If a smoother movie is required to observe an object moving, reworking, or processing, EV-1 (NTSC Version) is more appropriate, as it adopts a NTSC full-motion real time video system, although EV-1D also captures smooth movies and gives little stress in normal operations such as setting focus and the like. (EV-1D Image Output: 15 fps at maximum on SXGA monitor; 1280 × 1024, 1.3 mega-pixel)

    The attached image software is intuitive and easy to operate by simple menus such as "Image resolution ([1280 × 1024] or [640 × 480])," "Stop," "Save (BMP or JPG)," and "Property."

    (1)Delete "(IBM) Rescue and Recovery" using "Add or Remove Programs" in the Control Panel list.
    (2)Install the driver for EV-1D.
    (3)Re-install "(IBM) Rescue and Recovery" from c:¥ibmtools¥APPS¥IBMRNR.
    (The location of the file may be different in some models.)
