A Paper Utilizing GOKO’s Capillaroscope Has Been Published in Oxygen Transport to Tissue XLVI/Advances in Experimental Medicine and Biology 1498
A research paper by a research group at the Graduate School of Medical Sciences, Kitasato University (Department of Rehabilitation, School of Allied Health Sciences; Physical Therapy Program; Associate Professor Kazuki Hotta and colleagues), titled "Capillary Red Blood Cell Velocity Is Decreased in Skeletal Muscle of Septic Rats: In Vivo Imaging Using Videocapillaroscopy," has been published as a book chapter in Oxygen Transport to Tissue XLVI / Advances in Experimental Medicine and Biology, Vol. 1498.
In this study, the authors report that red blood cell (RBC) velocity in skeletal muscle capillaries decreases during the early stage (3-4 hours after the onset) of sepsis.
GOKO's full-body capillary scope was utilized in this study.
