MVC-2 mounts easily on any optical device with an eyepiece.
It's widely used with monocular biological microscopes to reduce eyestrain during long inspections and for live demonstrations.

How to use

  1. Mount Without Removing the Eyepiece
    Attach the exclusive spacer and connector directly over the eyepiece. No need to remove the eyepiece―this allows quick switching between monitor and direct viewing without losing focus.
  1. Adjust Focus and Attach the Camera Unit
    Focus the optical instrument as usual, then mount the camera unit onto the connector.
  1. Fine-Tune with the Adjustment Ring
    Use the focus ring on the camera to make final adjustments. Both the camera and eyepiece view will now be in perfect focus.

Mounting of Exclusive Spacer

  1. Attach the exclusive spacer over the eyepiece barrel, then fix the exclusive connector onto the spacer using three screws.
  2. Mount the camera unit onto the connector.

Compatible eyepiece diameters: φ24-34 mm (typically for monocular microscopes)
The spacer is positioned 31-46 mm from the end of the eyepiece.
MVC-2 comes with two spacers of your choice from five available sizes to best match your instrument.

Other sizes are also available. Custom spacers can be made upon request.

Developed a dedicated camera for use with a retinoscope* at the request of Dr. Suzuki, Suzuki Kichijoji Eye Clinic.

*Retinoscope: An ophthalmic tool used to objectively measure refractive errors by analyzing light reflected from the retina.
