A Case Report Utilizing GOKO Bscan-ZD and GOKO-VIP Has Been Published in Annals of Vascular Diseases
A case report entitled "Visualization of Microcirculation Using GOKO Bscan-ZD in a Patient with Chronic Limb-Threatening Ischemia: A Case Report," authored by a research group from the Department of Cardiology, Fukuoka University School of Medicine (first and corresponding author: Takafumi Fujita, MD, PhD; last author: Professor Shin-ichiro Miura, MD, PhD), has been published in the international academic journal Annals of Vascular Diseases, Volume 19, Issue 1.
The case involved a patient with type 2 diabetes who developed chronic limb-threatening ischemia (CLTI). To observe microcirculation on the dorsum of the foot, the researchers used the GOKO Bscan-ZD capillaroscope, developed and manufactured by GOKO Imaging Devices Co., Ltd. The recorded videos were further analyzed using GOKO-VIP software for velocity measurement to measure microcirculatory blood flow velocity.
The blood flow velocity on the dorsum of the left foot was measured at 18.1 μm/s before LDL apheresis and 169.5 μm/s after 16 treatment sessions. Angiography performed after eight sessions also showed changes in the visualization of vessels on the dorsum of the foot, blood flow to the wound area, and venous return.
