A Paper Utilizing GOKO’s Capillaroscope Has Been Published in Microcirculation
A research article entitled "Temporal Progression of Microvascular Alterations in the Nailfold and Skeletal Muscle of Non-Obese Type 2 Diabetic Rats," authored by a research group including Prefectural University of Hiroshima (first author: Miho Kanazashi, Lecturer, Physical Therapy Course, Faculty of Health and Welfare), has been published in Microcirculation.
In this study, findings from a non-obese type 2 diabetic rat model suggest that narrowing and reduced density of nailfold capillaries may occur at the stage of impaired glucose tolerance, in parallel with microvascular loss in fast-twitch skeletal muscle, and may appear before overt muscle atrophy becomes evident.
In this research, the capillary blood flow scope GOKO Bscan-ZD manufactured by GOKO Imaging Devices Co., Ltd. was used.
